Warren Buffetts letter is absolutely brilliant.

- Jun8 16y agoTo me the essential point was: Some material things make my life more enjoyable; many, however, would not. I like having an expensive private plane, but owning a half-dozen homes would be a burden. Too often, a vast collection of possessions ends up possessing its owner. The asset I most value, aside from health, is interesting, diverse, and long-standing friends. Nothing to say on top of that.

- wilschroter 16y agoMy favorite is from Larry Ellison, who basically says "Warren Buffet told me to write this, so I did." That's what I inferred from his message, which is pure Ellison.
- fuzzythinker 16y agoFor those who's getting the impression that Ellison is an ass, please read his whole letter (just a paragraph).
