Speaking as someone who recently got hired in Ohio? The relative rate of pay vs cost of living is amazing compared to somewhere like California or Florida. My pocket income is so far better than anything I ever got in Florida.
- adjkant 9y agoSpeaking as someone from FL who has worked in CA, Florida should not be lumped together with CA. The COL to tech pay ratio is the key metric here, which I suspect is much better in CA than FL if you are talking Tampa/Miami type areas.
