Usually it’s because he installer mucks up the crypttab, or doesn’t install mdadm module, or something. And yes, installing with BIOS usually gets it right. But

Usually it’s because he installer mucks up the crypttab, or doesn’t install mdadm module, or something. And yes, installing with BIOS usually gets it right. But it can be made to work with UEFI.
