Position: Software Engineer in San Francisco Companies spend $274bn every year on commercial insurance in the US. Abe is a modern insurance brokerage that leverages technology to better serve companies and make brokers more efficient. We have $3mm in funding from top VCs, 6 brokers on the platform, and are scaling our engineering team to bring commercial insurance into the 21st century. Our business is built on the idea that there are certain tasks that humans do really well and others that are better suited for computers. We supercharge our brokers so that they can focus on the highest-value work and use technology for everything else. This includes machine learning to structure PDF documents, Phantom.js scripts to pass data to insurance companies, and a beautiful customer dashboard.
