What are you talking about? I've been a techie transplant in Seattle for years and while some folks understandably resent the trend, none have treated me or any other individual poorly because of it. If anything, they're likely to ask about my experience and how I think we could alleviate the issues (more housing inventory, imo). I think you're very unlucky or hypersensitive to things that don't actually exist.
