Grad students need to organize work-stoppages and demand fair pay. Then taxation becomes a secondary, but still important, issue. Also, America needs to holistically fix the election process and public office accountability to prevent inexperienced, unsuitable, populist cult leaders from becoming fascist kleptoautocrats and forcibly remove the existential threat to humanity that stems from the corruption by the corporate-political-media complex. Then, perhaps Congress will do the people's work, and not just give themselves and their rich buddies additional socialist subsidies while foisting austerity on everyone else.
