Please, please make a headless mode for this! My ideal use case would be to run this on a development VM and be able to connect to it with my VS Code and debug live on the VM. This would be a much better experience than rsync-ing your changes on every run.
- pingec 9y agoYes please, that would be awesome! I have a workstation that I rdp into from all over the world in order to do development in VS and the experience is terrible when I am on the other side of the world because of high latencies and low bandwidth link. Being able to connect to the workstation's VS directly and edit files + start debugging sessions remotely, that would be fantastic!
- sorenjan 9y agoYou probably have a good reason for doing this, but why do remote development over rdp instead of developing locally and syncing with git?
- atwebb 9y agoMy thoughts as well, I can't imagine they haven't thought of it, here's hoping, especially since the PM commented in this thread.
- jonwchu 9y agoHey there! We have been thinking through multiple headless scenarios. Thanks for the feedback!
- ajcodez 9y agoTextMate + RMate works great for editing files on a remote linux box. https://github.com/textmate/rmate https://github.com/textmate/rmate
- jhasse 9y agoYou could use Xvfb even if it doesn't support headless mode :)
- GordonS 9y agoThis would be great for debugging apps on my Macbook or cloud MacOS machine, while still working on my main Windows machine!
