The most effective way to solve this is to write a set of exploits that work on most devices. Then brick all the phones that are vulnerable.
Surely not nice, but users suddenly got cured of their complete apathy towards mobile phones.
- thomastjeffery 9y agoThat's not a solution, that is an exploitation of the problem. The problem is that there are security holes that cannot be patched in the first place. There is no technical reason that for that to be the case, simply an arbitrary one: Manufacturers do not allow users to unlock the bootloader on devices they sell.
