“Without tunnels we’ll be in traffic hell forever” -Elon Musk

Tunnels don’t change the fact that cars (self-driving or not) are still an incredibly inefficient use of space when they’re all going in the same direction to the same place.

- onion2k 9y agoSelf-driving cars don't solve the traffic problem, but they do solve the "hell" problem.
- CamperBob2 9y agoThere's a word for a properly-networked ensemble of self-driving cars: "Train." People around here like trains, I've noticed.
- cjsuk 9y agoI love trains. As long as I don't have to get on one. Car trains is an idea I could buy.
