Does anyone know if Intel ME being compromised and the recent Tanenbaum letter have anything to do with each other? For example if the researchers discovered the use of Minix through this compromise. The articles referenced in Tanenbaum's blog post don't really reveal the source of the Minix discovery, other than it was due to some recent discovery.
