Web app dev here. Used Ubuntu on my old thinkpad. Bought a newer thinkpad and the drivers wouldn't work for ubuntu. Reluctantly stuck with the pre-installed Win 10 with new Ubuntu Bash extension (I wanted to stick with linux command line) and haven't looked back. Apart from some issues with Docker (which I don't use anyways but I'm sure some of you do) haven't noticed any real issues developing exactly as I did on Ubuntu :)
