Auto is nice to use, but I absolutely hate getting up to speed on a code base that uses it.
- mattnewport 9y agoThis suggests you need a better IDE.
- TACIXAT 9y agoYou are correct. I work in Sublime Text.
- gumby 9y agoFunny, I feel the opposite! I'm quite happy to ignore the type in most cases (especially in templates) when I see a line like auto dest = make_data_sink(....blah blah....); At that point I am unlikely to even worry about the type.
