I trust google to return things that are relevant to my searches. Whether those things are true or false is up to me to determine after clickthrough. This expectation that search results equal truth seems like a very recent assumption closely linked to this fake news development. I've never personally had that assumption myself and I am surprised to suddenly hear that it is apparently so common.
