Lobby them, claiming that they are responsible for the moral failing and immoral if they don't fix it. Get some lame piece of regulation out of it that causes more harm than good. That harm becomes your next moral failing and the process repeats. But everyone involved gets to project the outward impression that they are making the world a better place.
