When it hits the fan, and you want to come back to the US for safety, unmolested, you'll be able to. Should that be free?

- auxym 9y agoIt is in Canada, Europe...
- svennek 9y agoBut don't forget that those are third-rate (more like fourth-rate) countries, almost undeveloped brutes... <sarcasm/> (as an EU-citizen)
- pawelkomarnicki 9y agoWe don't even pay for our health bills in Germany when leaving a doctor's office ;-)
- chrisper 9y agoHold on! You have to pay 10 euros or so every year or no? I remember there was an outcry many years ago!
- teamhappy 9y agoWe got rid of that some time ago.
- ionised 9y agoHow barbaric!
- hackerguy99 9y ago>"We don't even pay for our health bills in Germany when leaving a doctor's office ;-)" It's impossible to get a family doctor in the majority of my country. But the system is free, so who cares, right?
- marincounty 9y agoDoesn't Canada, and most of Europe tax their citizens much higher than we (US) do? Tax money that is spread around with new roads, free school, free medical care, minimal homelessness? Stuff that make the masses happy? I'm sorry, but if you don't want to pay taxes; leave. I'm not talking about the poor, and middle class, I'm talking about the rich boys--Them. They love this relatively safe, free from corruption country when it's benefiting them--usually when their coming up in life; then decide they pay too much in taxes. In the fifties, we taxed the rich boys up to 90%. I don't think they whined too much because most where thankful we won WW2, and they weren't affected, or had to serve. Now--the rich boys won't shut up over their capital tax gains tax. (I'm not actually for a big government. I just know they wealthy are making too much now. I hate taxes as much as the next guy. I would like to see capital gains only taxed if you are constantly winnng. The guy who hasen't been employed for years, but makes his first million shouldn't be taxed until he's one of Them.)
- hackerguy99 9y ago>It is in Canada, Europe... And equally controversial (I'm Canadian).
- cr1895 9y ago>Should that be free? I think you're missing the part where anyone (well, most) who live abroad is actually paying anything.
