- Steuard 9y agoWell, yes: I think that's the point (or at least, the debate). How do you translate such a multifaceted word when there is nothing with the same collection of meanings and implications in the target language? It's a brilliantly ideal word for its purpose in the original Greek, and impossible to capture in (say) English without footnotes.
