I find that unless you're an entry-level worker, your best means for finding work will be through the generation of leads. Generating leads just means putting yourself out there and letting the opportunities come to you. There are many, many people who are qualified to perform a job that is posted on a job board. But if you can enable a company to skip posting to a board at all, then you and the company in question both win.
