My experience with switching from static to dynamic or dynamic to static typing is that it I've always missed the other at times. The flexibility of dynamic languages is especially nice when your requirements change a lot, which is a huge problem with what I'm doing now. I probably prefer static generally, but I'm glad I'm primarily working with a dynamic language at the moment.
