Is Bitcoin turning into a social experiment instead of an economical one? :)
- 127 9y agoIt's also a good microcosm to learn about real politics. The facades are much more transparent as it's mostly amateurs.
- funyug 9y agoGreat analogy. Since bitcoin has no true leader it makes it open to people to chose their leader themselves. It makes it open to huge amount of manipulation too like in religious groups :P
- cisanti 9y agoI like reading about bitcoin for that reason. It's like real-time and faster version how our societies and monetary systems evolved and the problems they solved. They are reinventing the wheel a lot, but it seems everything new is old...
- dec0dedab0de 9y agoI think economics is inherently social, and quite possibly the other way around if you really think about it.
- Kinnard 9y agoIt always was a social experiment.
- mads 9y agoYes, I suppose. If I had only known back in the days, when I started mining back in 2009 with my shiny dual Xeon workstation. Are you Satoshi? ;)
- JulianMorrison 9y agoAt this point it's basically EVE Online with real money.
