I never understood why in the United States getting 56k was impossible. It was always slightly less than that. Meanwhile in Europe I easily obtained 56k negotiation.
- ptaipale 9y agoThere was a FCC regulation limiting the transmission power sent on the line; this regulation did not exist elsewhere. It limited the speed to 53.3 kbit/s.
