- ghaff 9y agoBecause (in their eyes), you're gaming their fare rules. That said, I don't know how common this sort of action is. At various times, I've had to change flight plans and it was cheaper just to burn a booked return leg than pay the cancelation fee. And I've never had an issue doing so.
