- mythrwy 9y agoApparently the prince is second biggest shareholder of Twitter. Donald disrespected him in his own house! https://www.dailysabah.com/mideast/2017/11/05/alwaleed-bin-talal-two-other-billionaires-tycoons-among-saudi-arrests https://www.dailysabah.com/mideast/2017/11/05/alwaleed-bin-t... But really he and Trump go way back. They've had financial dealings and Trump bought his yacht, then the Prince bought it back when Trump got in a bind.
- smhost 9y agoWait, I'm confused. Right about what? Trump was saying that Talal was trying to buy American politicians. Talal wasn't arrested for that. Or are you saying that Trump is somehow responsible for the king's actions, because that seems like a ridiculous conspiracy to me. Please connect the dots for me.
- 0xbear 9y agoThink broader: he called the prince a corrupt, holier than thou douche. It seems he was right.
- smhost 9y agoHe was arrested on the orders of someone who has a lot to gain politically, and in a country that regularly arrests people for what we consider to be basic human rights, so this doesn't convince me of anything about his character.
- 0xbear 9y agoRegardless, he was trying to buy influence here in the US, and his candidate didn’t win. And he managed to piss off the guy who did win. Too bad. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/12/figures-saudi-prince-who-bashed-donald-trump-is-big-clinton-foundation-donor-enjoys-dwarf-tossing/ http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/12/figures-saudi-prince...
- mainliningfbs 9y agoKushner was in Saudi Arabia last week. Does that have something to do with this?
