Nothing is stopping the writers from unionizing. As a union, they can then work for whatever business would like to hire them. It’s not like “The Billionaire” decided to lock the union out, and exclusively employ freelancers. He decided to shut the business down — tough cookies.
- jonathankoren 9y agoYou seem to fundamentally misunderstand what a union is, and how they work. Unions are fundamentally tied to a specific employer.

- jonathankoren 9y agoYou mislinked to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_union https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_union Think about it. What’s the point of holding specific votes at specific employers to unionize? Union locals and unions in general do not solicit competitive bids for contract work as the OP implied. That simply doesn’t happen, and to believe that it does, is to not understand how unions operate.
- dogruck 9y agoYou argue by assuming ignorance, and following up with insult and nonsense. Remarkably ineffective and immature.
