Other points notwithstanding, Sayfullo Saipov is not an American citizen.

- krapp 9y agoFair enough, then. Is he subject to American laws? Does he have the protection of the same Constitutional and legal rights as any American, including presumption of innocence and a fair trial?
- interfixus 9y agoI have no idea. I am not an American. Merely pointing out that he is not a citizen, which grandparent comment vaguely suggested that he was.
- creaghpatr 9y agoNot if he’s tried as an enemy combatant, which there are legal grounds for given his connections with an entity with which the US is at war.
