You're exactly right, and I'm simply saying I don't find it relevant for any of the work my team does. Others might, but my feeling is that the workflow of actually developing on these things is what has caused a shift from VMs to containers for so many teams. I'd love to see a solution which combines the workflow benefits of Docker with the stronger isolation of VMs.
