Student charged by FBI for hacking his grades more than 90 times
- na85 9y ago>Readers, do you have insights into what’s keeping schools from securing themselves? More often than not their IT staffs are chock full of people who learned MS Office from a book, double click on hyperlinks and know almost nothing about network security.
- sp0rk 9y agoNot to put too fine a point on it, but why is somebody that hasn't heard of the WiFi Pineapple writing for an otherwise respectable network security blog?
- DKnoll 9y agoHow do you know it was one? They don't mention one being seized by the FBI. I thought the same thing but without evidence I'd hardly jump to insulting the intelligence of the author... Sophos blogs and SMEs tend to be pretty well informed from what I've seen.
- spacemanmatt 9y agoThat caught my eye, too. I would speculate that the criminals called it that because they used a Pineapple or saw it on a web site, but the blog entry takes a more conservative stance (less speculative) than I do. And well they should!
