Personally I have long considered Facebook a deceptive, manipulative, evil company and inherently an enemy to liberty and human dignity. But, that should be at least broadly clear to anyone who bothers to look at what Facebook does. Maybe we should instead be asking, what is wrong with a society that places this much reliance on an entity whose interests are clearly at odds with the interests of the public, and how do we fix that.
