I'm glad that developers are finally having honest discussions about this. Not long ago, it seemed like 100% unit test coverage with TDD was the only valid point of view to have. I'm not a fan of TDD (in the sense of writing the test first) but I do think that some sort of testing-as-you-go is important for back end API work in particular. I don't think that 100% test coverage is a good idea for 99% of business use cases.
