The evidence that Nanosolar is really shipping panels at $0.99/W is pretty weak. They made that announcement in December; I've seen no corroboration. They've also claimed that they were going to build a factory capable of producing 430 MW of panels annually by the end of 2007, which hasn't happened. I'll be their biggest fan if they succeed, but so far, they're making big claims, soaking up VC funds, and shipping little product.
