Perhaps not, but we could choose differently w/respect to what they're tied together with. For example, the wall-full of soldier-portraits at the local Walmart could come down and be replaced with portraits of, and accolades for, the countless teachers and social workers and community volunteers who have given us so much. But no, they're not worthy, not in America.
