Great, was it really necessary?
- throw_truth 9y agoIt was. Noticing rule exceptions and statistical improbabilities is the only way to refine your models and stereotypes. Quoting Joanna Rutkowska: 'Ideas, science and technology have no morality. It’s annoying so many people don’t seem to understand that.'

- dang 9y agoRight, but trolls are for flagging, not feeding: https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html All: To flag a comment, click on its timestamp to go to its page, then click 'flag' at the top. (There's a small karma threshold, currently 30, before flag links appear.) We monitor user flags and take action based on them, so this is a good way to help HN not sink too far in quality, and we greatly appreciate it.
