You don't think property coops are at a high risk of acting like current HOAs?
- mindcrime 9y agoPerhaps, but as long as participation is voluntary, I can live with that. That said, if I ever buy a house, it will very pointedly be in an area with no HOA. :-)
- gowld 9y agoHow is an HOA worse for the resident than a landlord?
- b4lancesh33t 9y agoThey already do, at least in NYC. That's just part of the deal you sign when you join. If you don't like it, there are a lot of other options, each with their own tradeoffs.
