One problem with internationalisation attempts is that most of the committees that have control over these things are from the Americas or Europe and so speak a Romance language natively and almost certainly speak English well (if not natively). There is nowhere near enough input from languages and cultures that might not fit European norms. There's a great article about a similar problem in Unicode:

- gh02t 9y agoIn this particular case though, 24 hour time is common in Europe and even in the US it's somewhat common (I use it). I curious how they could have overlooked it (partially).
