Since I recently tried to implement a date input and was shocked to discover that Firefox didn't support it, despite being in 'their' docs. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/date https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/in...
- JCSato 9y agoRan into similar shock recently while working on a project. Ended up just making my own - was actually fairly straightforward, and pretty fun. Creating 6 <select> menus for date time input would have been obnoxious enough as a developer, but I can't imagine filling that in as a user and not hating the experience. Glad to see Firefox moving in this direction.
- _Microft 9y agoEvery article (where applicable) should have a browser compatibility section near the end of it. (It's not such a new thing though) In your case: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/date#Browser_compatibility https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/in...
- 482794793792894 9y agoNah, it's been on Mozilla's To-Do list for years already, just realistically not ever really a priority. And I'm also pretty sure they've already been actively working on the implementation prior to talks with those companies. I think, I remember reading about first design steps at the start of the year already.
