Ask HN: How long does Twitter let's a new user login without verifying email?

I just created an account and I see that Twitter let's me repeatedly login without verifying the email that I used to signup. How long does Twitter let's a new user login without verifying email ? Are there any suggestions around letting users login without verifying their email address for a certain duration or number of login attempts ?
