Ouch, if only because I agree with all you've said. My thoughts: "let's not rush to judgement with incomplete information, that's why we have a system for handling this". My fears: "I don't want to go down in a fiery nosedive into oblivion with the accused because people wrongly thought I was taking their side." My inner-monologue: "I'm a coward for using so many disclaimers, but I can also see the need given how sensitive this is for the victims. I guess I see both sides, but 'I see both sides' is a loaded term now thanks to the other guy." Rationality is hard in 2017.
