Who is "the guy"?
- gk1 9y agoWhy does that matter?

- habeebtc 9y agoWhat, really? Weinstein had anecdotes floating around by word of mouth for decades. Maybe if some of those had been collected anonymously in a public forum, action would have been taken sooner.
- PeachPlum 9y agoNot just w.o.m. anecdotes, multiple police investigations that went nowhere http://www.google.com/search?q=harvey+weinstein+abuse&dcr=0&biw=600&bih=843&source=lnt&tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A1%2F1%2F1990%2Ccd_max%3A1%2F1%2F2017&tbm= http://www.google.com/search?q=harvey+weinstein+abuse&dcr=0&...
- AAGRADD 9y agoDoes not help fix anything by keeping the person anonymous
- jabot 9y agoThe author describes outing him at a later occasion. That means the person is not kept anonymous, his name is simply not included in this article. Now, I think that omitting his name makes the article better, because it removes a distraction. On the whole i think that whether or not his name should be mentioned depends on whether or not his behavior has changed -- with some bias in favor of not mentioning him, because... well people should be allowed to learn and improve themselves?

- jabot 9y agoInitially i wondered as well. However, the author ended up reporting him, so i guess it's a moot point. ... As long as the guy has learned something or changed his behavior, i mean.
- KingMob 9y agoThe article suggests he didn't learn or change. Also, why is that your halting criteria? Why not some jail time?
