My suggestion for "normal" users. Create a new "Advanced Protection"account. Use this new account only for: * password recovery * backup account * banking credentials (maybe?) This backup account can then be used to protect against any password recovery attack against any other site that you rely on. Your normal day to day email can stay with the regular security.

The less often you use this account, the more likely you are to lose the keys.

  I write them down. A note with a mysterious sequence of letters is not generally a theft target.
