This has an anti-adblocker so simply isn't on the internet from my point of view - and so we shouldn't be linking to it.
There is a certain irony as they'll probably mention one of my favourite concrete buildings, the Pantheon in Rome, which is also thinking of starting to have entrance fees.

- maxerickson 9y agoSo people posting articles to news aggregators are supposed to first check if they work with all the shitty ad blockers that people might use? Try ublock, it's way better than complaining about broken sites.
- rypskar 9y agoThe site works without any problems using Ghostery (technically not an adblocker, but blocks ads that tracks you so 90% of ads are blocked) And they have lots about roman concrete, including the Pantheon in Rome
- sigio 9y agoWorked fine here with only privacybadger... no ads, no nag screens
- francisofascii 9y agoOf course an article about concrete is "blocked".
- gwbas1c 9y agoI just used AdBlock Plus's "Block Element" feature. I was able to remove the two items stuck on top of the article.
- LeifCarrotson 9y agoWorks fine in uBlock Origin, default settings. It's actually a lovely, very readable article. Pausing the blocker and refreshing does show some disguisting animated AdChoice ads inserted right in the middle of the content. Ugh, not getting whitelisted here. On reloading with uBlock Origin enabled, I can barely see where the extra line breaks are. What adblocker are you using?
- Aloha 9y agoSo, we should magically know when /your/ adblocker will prevent loading of a site, and not post said content?
