- thaumasiotes 9y agoA congress consisting of half the population might be a little too large to work well.

- jachee 9y agoI still believe that Legislative Duty should be compulsory, like Jury Duty. 538 citizens, selected randomly per state in the same ratios as today's house and Senate. Tele-commute, and make/update laws for the good of all with minimal direct outside influence. I'm not sure how long a session would last, but it sure would be interesting.
- everdev 9y agoChances are someone else might want my same representative, maybe just not my neighbor. Right now, 50% of a state minus 1 can be represented by someone they don't want. Why not take a national vote and if your real is in the top 100, they become a senator, or the next top 538 and they become a representative.
