If I were writing a story about a hapless, mindless, shallow, gullible idiot - basically an open wallet with eyeballs, who blithely spends and leaves devastation and waste in his wake, I'd call him Joe Consumer. Sad thing is, I used to be John Q. Public - someone who votes, pays taxes, someone with rights. Now I'm just Joe Consumer.
