Just went from MacBook Pro to MacBook (fly 120k miles a year). Got Apple 4K (LG) monitor. Disc are USB2 from monitor as is Ethernet. Damn thing does not wake from sleep with USB keyboard. I had an LG 21:9 34” display with thunderbolt drives, network. The 4K monitor is a great picture but 21” is crap. Apple just put thunderbolt in the MacBook please. USB3 can die. Happy with physical interface, rest is crap.
