Tell HN: Thank you internet, for constantly giving me inspiration
I am building a web app. I know how I want it to look and operate, and I have a little programming knowledge. Enough to know how to implement basic jQuery effects on a bare bones UI to get some of the functionality I want.
However, the more impressive stuff that I want to do, is going to take a lot more learning. I have been learning and doing, at a good clip too, but I get a bit discouraged from time-to-time when the hill seems too steep.
I was about to quit learning and just hand over the reins to a developer, and then I saw the video for Tab Candy - http://www.azarask.in/blog/post/tabcandy/
Knowing that all of that is done in HTML/CSS and Javascript, in a weird way, inspires me to learn enough to build the functionality I want.
There are many times when I feel discouraged and it seems that at the right moment (i.e. at my lowest) I come across something that gives me hope and inspires me. Whether it is on HN, Twitter, Forrst or anywhere else, the internet always comes through for me.
I just wanted to say Thank You!
