The Rock Test: A Hack for Men Who Don’t Want to Be Accused of Sexual Harassment
- alexanderstears 9y agoThis advice is incredibly tone-deaf. If you're a professional in America, you're one accusation away from a ruined career unless you're someone who can get away with it. People who decline meetings or are reluctant to engage women are the people who are afraid of false accusations and probably shouldn't have to be - if the thought of a professional meeting makes you anxious, how much of a predator can you really be? These people don't need advice that's tantamount to 'this is how you talk to people' - they obviously know that. They need advice on how to avoid people who might make false accusations, they need advice on how to keep out of trouble. They need ways to derisk interactions and treating people like the rock only addresses one risk factor.
