Does anybody else feel that comparing not getting into MIT/Harvard/Stanford to being disenfranchised or, in the case of the Soviet example, preventing you from earning a livelihood is a bit ridiculous? At minimum, as an Asian person that did not go to a top school, it feels very elitist.
