FreeBSD's hardware support is pretty poor - they don't even support intel graphics cards from 3 years ago - https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics#Intel_Graphics https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics#Intel_Graphics. WiFi support can also be spotty.
