This is a nice example of the state of the art of a React & Friends stack. Thank you for building it and sharing it. Is it supposed to be completely functional? Login doesn't seem to work for me, at least.
After 1.1 MB transferred, I experience subjectively sluggish page transitions and less-subjective FOUC on a recent MacBook Pro and Chrome over fast wifi. The features in this stack are impressive and appealing, but IMO they are not worth the general performance cost weighed by hundreds of kilobytes of JS abstractions.

- nodesocket 9y agoYah don't put your credentials into this. Tisk tisk. If you did, change your HN password.

- cdata 9y agoNo, that's not what I'm saying.
- marksomnian 9y agoCould probably do with some code splitting.
- mike-cardwell 9y agoIt's a NextJS app. NextJS handles code splitting for you automatically. Or maybe I misunderstood what you meant? [edit] In fact, in the README at the root of the project: "Next - (Routing, SSR, Hot Module Reloading, Code Splitting, Build tool uses Webpack)"
