Interesting, I learn subject such as math and programing, by trying the exercises at the end of the unit first, looking through the unit as needed, then I can sit down and read the unit and really getting it. If I start by reading, I tend to understand and retain very little... On the other hand nothing infuriate me more than when told "I'll tell you later..."
