- jbk 9y agoYou say that some people are heroes without believing that everything they are doing is amazing. Life is not black-and-white.
- throwawayknecht 9y agoNazism is a pretty black-and-white issue. Driving Kathy Sierra off the Internet is a pretty black-and-white issue. Most critically, lying about it when asked means you know you fucked up, but refuse to admit to it or apologize. That's also pretty black-and-white. Wales is a guy I don't usually agree with but still think he did something sui generis to benefit society. Hocevar is just above-average at writing video codecs. There's hundreds of people who can do what he does, without having such a black heart.

- aptwebapps 9y agoI'm not very well informed about this stuff, but you aren't confusing Hocevar with Weev, are you? I thought he was the one accused wrt Kathy Sierra.
