Surely refresh is just kill for web-apps? The app's state is discarded, the code is reloaded and it re-requests the data. I don't see the differentiation Tim is implying.
- gilrain 9y agoOne requires the push of a convenient button already within the workflow of the app; the other requires knowing how to force close an app, or at any rate losing your flow.
- pimlottc 9y agoIn theory, a good web-app encodes state in the URL as you work, so you don't lose everything on refresh. Google Maps is a good example.
- digi_owl 9y agoGmaps seems like their only good webapp...
